Blake Shelton Ready to Marry Gwen Stefani? Miranda Lambert’s Ex Allegedly Asked GF's Parents’ Approval for Marriage

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton

Blake Shelton reportedly went up to Gwen Stefani’s parents to ask them for permission to marry their daughter. The country singer was said to be preparing to propose to his girlfriend, but before he carries this out, he wants her parents to approve his intention first.

According to OK! Magazine, Blake wants their blessings because they are important to Gwen, with Miranda Lambert’s ex’s apparently going the extra mile, they said that he already proved to the parents, Dennis and Patti, that he is the right guy for their daughter.

“Gwen is close to her mom and dad, and both their opinions are important to her,” the source told OK! “Blake has gone out of his way to prove he is the perfect match for their daughter by jumping right into the Stefani’s traditions like Sunday family dinners.”

It was added that Gwen Stefani’s parents are worried that their daughter’s heart would be broken once again, but it was suggested that they really like Blake Shelton. The source said that the more Patti and Dennis get to know “The Voice” star, the more they like him and convinced that he will make their daughter happy.

“Dennis loves the fact that Blake is a real man’s man who hunts, fishes and lives on a ranch where he does a lot of his own work,” the anonymous tipster added. “They think their daughter and Blake make a great couple.”

However, Gossip Cop is contradicting this report because there are many parts of the story that does not add up. The fact-checking site stated that although it may be true that Blake Shelton had spent a lot of time with Gwen Stefani’s family especially her parents, GC is certain that the country singer did not ask Patti and Dennis for their permission to propose and marry their daughter. Besides, the couple personally clarified on separate guesting on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” that they are not engaged and no plans are up ahead either.
