Austin, TX, Feb. 27, 2018 -- Bloom Communications, an integrated communications agency specializing in marketing, public relations, and research-based consulting, today announced it has been selected as a finalist for the sixth annual Most Generous Business Awards. Presented by Austin Gives, a program of the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce, the award recognizes organizations that demonstrate exemplary business philanthropy.

"For an award which receives so many entries each year, we are particularly honored and humbled to be a finalist as it is a testament to our mission, which is fueled by a passion to serve the greater good," said Brianna McKinney, Bloom Communications founder and president. "We wouldn't be where we are today without the continued support of our like-minded staff and clients -- both the nonprofits and the for-profit businesses that prioritize corporate social responsibility. Giving back to Austin -- and all of the communities in which we work -- has been a cornerstone of our business since our founding in early 2012."
Austin Gives was founded to recognize and inspire business philanthropy in metropolitan Austin, encouraging members to donate one percent or more of profits. Every year, Bloom Communications invests a minimum of 10 percent in its communities, and in 2017, Bloom’s investment reached nearly 20 percent.
To demonstrate the value Bloom places on giving, the agency makes a 30 percent pro bono investment in every nonprofit client, making communications services more attainable to organizations with historically smaller and more precious budgets. This enables nonprofits to better deliver to their constituents and further their missions -- from driving donations and volunteers to increasing awareness among client populations. Additionally, in 2017, Bloom's staff members volunteered 96 hours at team volunteer offsites during business hours in support of various nonprofits across Austin and Portland.
This year’s Austin Gives Most Generous Business Awards finalists represent businesses of all types and sizes. Categories include Charitable Champions (under 26 employees), Big Heart (27-100 employees), Bold Giver (100-400 employees), and Community Leaders (over 400 employees).
The award winners will be announced and honored at a private reception on March 22nd, 2018.
