More details about Mitsuki’s sudden disappearance are expected to be revealed in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 77. The possible new pieces of information may include an enemy secretly infiltrating Konohagakure as well as Team 5 joining the mission to look for Mitsuki.
As the anime series goes deeper into the Mitsuki arc, fans get more questions than answers. However, episode 76 established the possibility that the Hidden Leaf Village might be dealing with a traitor and an infiltrator. Hopefully, this is one of the stories to be explored in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 77.
In episode 76, Yurito was guarding Uo's hospital room before he was ordered by Sakura to bring her findings to Naruto's office. So it was established that he is one of the few characters that have access to the Hokage's office. Later, Naruto, Tsunade, and Shikamaru considered the possibility that Mitsuki was "targeted" because of his real identity. But it was supposedly a top-secret information, thus, the presumption that someone is leaking info — another likely developing story in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 77.
Fans' suspicions over Yurito grew when he was seen stealing a syringe from Uo's hospital room in episode 76. If Yurito is the infiltrator, the “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 77 preview might have hinted who is working with. The video teaser shows Mitsuki surrounded by several shinobi from the Hidden Stone Village who are not exactly friendlies with the ninjas of Konohagakure.
Meanwhile, members of Team 5 and Team 15 were also briefly shown in episode 76. They are all worrying about Boruto and Sarada, who are currently considered rogue ninjas for going after Mitsuki unofficially. Even though they are thinking of helping, they reiterated that their main mission, for now, is to protect the Hidden Leaf Village. Is this implying that they will face some action in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 77?
On the other hand, the more obvious event in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 77 involves the taming of Garaga by collecting its Reverse Scale. The giant snake is expected to be finally cornered by Boruto and his friends. But there is a theory that Boruto will offer a contract to make Garaga his summoning snake.
Uo will likely gain full consciousness in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 77, which could lead to the confirmation that they were attacked by Hidden Stone Village ninjas before taking Mitsuki. The next episode will be released on Sunday, Oct. 14.
