Namida is going to be the center of “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 96. Teasers confirmed that the next installment will focus on her training in order to control her “crying.”
Namida is one of the genins in the Hidden Leaf Village. She has appeared in several episodes before but was rarely at the center of the story until “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 96.
Her name literally means “tears” in English and it is also related to her signature jutsu called the Calling on Tears technique. As its name suggests, Namida needs to cry out loud which the emits a strong wave of sound that can make her enemies immobile or activate explosive tags. Fans will explore this ability in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 96.
The preview for “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 96 shows her friends complaining that her uncontrollable jutsu is causing them hearing problems. This forces Namida to stop crying altogether to avoid further unintentional damage to those close to her.
Obviously, completely abandoning her jutsu is not the right way to go. So Team 15’s teacher, Hanabi, comes to the rescue of Namida in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 96. According to a translated teaser (via Twitter’s @uchihafamille), Hanabi thinks Namida’s jutsu problem is caused by her emotions that triggers her chakra and activates her Calling on Tears technique.
Hanabi then dedicates her time to hold a special training session for Namida in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 96. Next to intense battle scenes, training sessions are some of the fans’ favorite parts of the anime series. This means the next installment is a great way to transition from the “Family Day” filler arc based on “Naruto Shinden.”
Meanwhile, it is still unclear whether “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 96 formally starts a new arc for the series. If so, it is very likely that members of Team 15 will be the next ones to work closely with Boruto’s group in an upcoming mission. Catch Namida’s training with Hanabi on Sunday, March 3.
