Naruto is trapped in a different dimension with a draining chakra while Sasuke went back to Konohagakure after sustaining serious injuries. Kawaki must now prove that he is not working with the enemies. The only way he thinks he can do it is by ultimately saving Naruto. But it is not an easy task with Boro blocking their way in “Boruto” chapter 40.

'Boruto' chapter 40 predictions: Boro wins and retrieves Kawaki

This month’s installment of “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” manga did not have any fight scene in it, but it certainly ended signaling that another battle will most likely take place. Kawaki, Boruto, Sarada, and Mitsuki reached the dimension where Naruto is. Kawaki conjured a portal to that dimension through his karma seal. But “Boruto” chapter 40 is not trouble-free, especially after Kawaki’s comment about Boro.

Boro is another Inner of the Kara organization led by Jigen. Until “Boruto” chapter 40, nothing much is known about him. The manga has yet to reveal his fighting skills and techniques. However, Kawaki said in chapter 39 that Boro is somehow much worse than Jigen.

Kawaki’s comments could mean that Boro is not as powerful as Jigen, but the former possibly have worse bloodlust. There is a very slim chance for Kawaki and Team 7 to win if a fight takes place in “Boruto” chapter 40.

A defeat could also mean that Boro fulfills the job of retrieving Kawaki. On the other hand, Kawaki might also surrender if things go south that could also leave an opening for Team 7 to save Naruto in “Boruto” chapter 40.

'Boruto' chapter 40 spoilers, release date: Koji Kashin and Jigen fight

Other than the confrontation with Boro, another battle is also brewing between Koji Kashin and Jigen that could erupt in “Boruto” chapter 40. The very mysterious Koji emphasized that he has to move quickly and kill Jigen before he fully regains his strength.

Even though Jigen dominated the fight with Naruto and Sasuke, it was revealed that the battle literally drained his strength. He needs two full days to recover completely. If Koji is ever attempting to kill Jigen, the perfect time to do it would be on “Boruto” chapter 40 that will be released on Nov. 20.
