‘Bosch’ Season 5 Air Date, Spoilers, Characters: Fifth Installment Will Not Closely Stick With Source Material, Executive Producer Revealed

“Bosch” Season 5 will be adapting the book “Two Kinds of Truth” and it’s been revealed that the showrunners aren’t going to strictly stick with the story of its source material. Instead, author and executive producer Michael Connelly said that the series is focusing more on the characters rather than its plotline, Fan Fest reported. Show star Titus Welliver also revealed as much during an interview with Tracey Phillipps.

“It’s funny because I always say, people read the books, but when we do adaptations of the books, it’s never a straight adaptation…So obviously, we lifted the case and circumstances and some of the characters from ‘Two Kinds of Truth.’ It’s really good,” Welliver said. “Bosch” Season 5 will be a tension-filled story to follow as the titular detective will be accused of framing a certain inmate.

What’s more, this inmate claims that he has solid evidence for his accusations, putting Harry (Titus Welliver) in a tight spot. Further complicating the matter is Harry dealing with a drug syndicate in “Bosch” Season 5. This criminal organization will be led by Dalton Walsh (Chris Vance), the main antagonist for the fifth installment.

Welliver hinted that Harry will be thrown with some really deplorable people in “Bosch” Season 5, characters that the actor described as extremely sadistic. Returning to the abovementioned accusation, the detective will not be represented by his half-brother, Mickey Haller.

Instead, Chandler (Mimi Rogers) will be tasked to defend Harry with a little bit of help from a private investigator named Hector Bonner (Ryan Hurst). With all these exciting plotlines occurring in “Bosch” Season 5, it’s not surprising that fans of the police procedural are eager to watch this installment.

For his part, Welliver said that the trailer for the upcoming entry will be coming out soon, although he did say that fans shouldn’t hold their breath for it. Regarding the release date of “Bosch” Season 5, it’s been scheduled to drop late in the spring.
