CLEVELAND, Ohio, March 26, 2018 -- Today, Bravo, the leading national provider of employee well-being solutions known for success in measurable health risk reductions, announces its public support for the campaign for Universal Access to Health Promotion.
The campaign, first detailed in the December 6, 2017 public white paper titled Universal Access to Health Promotion, lays out a plan to take the successes of comprehensive employee wellness programs into the public health arena. The initiative is the culminating work of Michael O’Donnell Ph.D., MBA, MPH, leading employee wellness researcher, author of Health Promotion in the Workplace and founder of the Art & Science of Health Promotion Institute. Many of the “who’s who” scholars and experts in public health and population health initiatives have joined as advisors, reflecting a strong and powerful start to the discussion.
Bravo will launch its public support at the 28th annual Art & Science of Health Promotion Conference in San Diego, March 26 – 30.
“Healthcare in America doesn’t just need practical solutions that are data-driven, it needs bold vision and big, hairy, audacious goals connected to those solutions,” said Jim Pshock, Bravo Founder and CEO. “For decades, Michael has led the industry in showing how health promotion works in reducing health risks and helping employers contain costs. Bravo is honored to stand alongside Michael as he brings a truly bi-partisan solution to our country’s public health crisis.”
Inspired by the State of Colorado’s commitment to become the healthiest state in America, O’Donnell’s public plan lays out a strategy full of pragmatic steps that states, counties and municipalities can take to provide universal access to health promotion for their constituents.
“Under the leadership of Gov. John Hickenlooper, Colorado has set a standard for being a champion for well-being,” said Chris Yessayan, Bravo’s President. “As the first wellness vendor to publicly support this initiative, we encourage everyone, from wellness professionals and fellow wellness vendors to public health advocates and public officials, to stand with us and support health promotion for all.”
