Two Reuters snapshots on Monday put Brent crude below its $109.86 Friday settlement, although the later price had risen from the earlier report. The quotes tracked oil’s rebound during the morning while remaining below Friday’s close.

Reuters reported Brent at $107.57 a barrel at 2:19 a.m. ET (06:19 UTC), then at $108.52 in an update at 6:02 a.m. ET (10:02 UTC). Reuters said Friday’s settlement was the benchmark’s highest since May 19.

U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude settled at $101.41 on Friday, according to earlier EconoTimes coverage. The White House said the Oct. 16 order waived the application of specified sanctions, duties and restrictions under the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026. Earlier Russia measures imposed through executive orders remained in force.
