Burger King has brought back the Crispy Taco at select Burger King locations in Madison County, Illinois.
Earlier on Feb. 1, the Burger King Crispy Taco returned to 52 regional Burger Kings.
When Burger King introduced the $1 Crispy Taco in 2019, the Granite City, Illinois, store was the No. 1 top-selling location in the US, with more than 1,100 daily sales.
The $1 taco features a crunchy corn tortilla filled with seasoned beef, shredded cheddar cheese, and lettuce, topped with Burger King’s taco sauce.
According to Henry Delouvrier, co-founder and managing partner of Broadway Restaurant Group, the snack-size tacos will be on the menu until they sell out, which is expected to be in just a few weeks at many locations based on past popularity.
The Broadway Restaurant Group operates Burger Kings in Southern Illinois, St. Louis, and across Missouri.
Delouvrier added that customers appreciate a tasty, low-cost snack or meal option at a time when inflation has driven up food prices at grocery stores and restaurants.
The St. Louis region has been known as a successful Burger King market for years. Broadway Restaurant Group is one of a select group of US franchisees that consults with corporations and tests market concepts.
