With script drafting, shot planning and region-specific visual remakes under one roof, ByteDance launched 即梦短剧工作室 on Oct. 26, bringing AI tools together for short-drama production.
After users upload a completed series, the system maps its characters, settings, props and shots. It creates replacement visuals for a selected region, visual style and aspect ratio. The remake aims to maintain the original series’ pacing and visual approach.
DreamScript can use a novel containing up to 100,000 Chinese characters to draft as many as 100 episodes. It can also flag plot conflicts and evaluate how characters are defined.
DreamShot’s 3D workspace lets users arrange cameras, set their motion and preview shots. A reusable asset library stores characters, clothing and locations, while users can rebuild shots one by one.
Several of the tools had appeared earlier in 小云雀. Its short-drama agent launched in March, followed by a remake feature in August.
