President Donald Trump campaigned in Lubbock for Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, a Republican Senate candidate, as CBS News called the Texas race a tossup one week before Election Day.

CBS made that assessment in an Oct. 27 video report. The Trump 47 Committee listed the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center as the site of Trump’s event. Texas state Rep. James Talarico, the Democratic Senate candidate, held a separate rally at the Fiesta Center, a few miles away, The Texas Tribune reported. EconoTimes also covered the two separate Lubbock rallies.

The Texas Secretary of State’s calendar lists Friday, Oct. 30, as the final day of in-person early voting. The general election is Tuesday, Nov. 3.
