CBS News has placed South Carolina’s Senate contest among its battleground races, drawing attention to the contest ahead of Tuesday’s vote for the seat formerly held by Lindsey Graham.

A New York Times/Siena survey gave Republican Darline Graham and Democratic challenger Annie Andrews 48% each. EconoTimes previously covered the poll’s near-tie result.

The Associated Press has described the seat as important to Republicans’ effort to retain control of the Senate. CBS News reporter Zak Hudak covered the rating change in a video report.
