TORONTO, April 24, 2018 -- CN (TSX:CNR) (NYSE:CNI) announced today it will make a donation of $50,000 to the #TorontoStrong Fund established by Mayor John Tory, the City of Toronto and the Toronto Foundation in support of victims of the deadly van attack on Monday.
“On behalf of the entire CN family, I would like to express our condolences to the people of Toronto who experienced a senseless tragedy yesterday,” said JJ Ruest, interim president and chief executive officer of CN. “To those who have lost loved ones and to those who are recovering, you are in our thoughts and prayers. In making this donation we hope it will encourage others to donate to support the victims and their families.”
The #TorontoStrong Fund will identify organizations and agencies to benefit from these donations in a coordinated, accountable manner.
