Spain’s Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV) named GDLP, EXCHSEC, ZSYSC and CMC GROUP MARKETS in Oct. 13 notices warning consumers that the entities lack approval for regulated crypto-asset services.

The four names appear on the regulator’s list of unauthorized entities. The notices cover activities subject to authorization under the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets regulation.

The GDLP and CMC GROUP MARKETS notices also cover investment services, including foreign exchange transactions. For EXCHSEC and ZSYSC, the notices cite crypto-asset services.

The notices identify which authorizations each entity lacks; they do not establish that the entities provided those services. The CNMV points people seeking to confirm registration to its investor service. It also called on consumers to verify a provider’s status before carrying out financial activity.
