CXMT Corporation (CXMT) fell 7.77% in Shanghai on Monday, Oct. 19, while Micron Technology and Sandisk rose about 4% each before U.S. trading opened, splitting memory-related shares across markets.
The Shanghai decline deepened from the 6.5% reading in earlier coverage of CXMT's profit forecast.
An earlier snapshot of U.S. premarket trading put Micron up 2.44% and Sandisk up 3.56%, with SK hynix rising 3.85%. The later gains of about 4% for Micron and Sandisk were also recorded before the regular U.S. session.
CXMT and Micron compete in dynamic random-access memory, or DRAM. Sandisk's NAND flash storage is a separate type of memory product.
CXMT's exchange filing contains an unaudited profit forecast for January through September 2026. The company cited growing demand for AI computing and higher DRAM prices as reasons for its projected results. The filing does not establish a cause for Monday's share moves.
CXMT said final figures will appear in its third-quarter report, but gave no publication date.
