The latest teaser video for the highly anticipated “Call of Duty: Black Ops 4” was released recently, and it is focused on the story behind the Zombies Mode campaign. The trailer confirms the gameplay will feature time travels as well as fighting zombie tigers and giant medieval warriors.
Developers of “Call of Duty: Black Ops 4” revealed the Zombies Mode trailer on Tuesday. The video confirms that its story will revolve around the new character named Scarlett Rhodes, whose life goal is to solve the “mysterious disappearance” of his father 15 years earlier.
Scarlett obviously takes the main protagonist role in “Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s” Zombies Mode. But it is still a cooperative gameplay, so players will also meet three other characters described as “loyal outcasts.” They appear to be indebted to Scarlett's father, thus becoming her trusted allies in fighting zombies.
For the first half of the “Call of Duty: Black Ops 4” Zombies Mode trailer, Scarlett and her team fight the undead in their present time. Later, Scarlett and the outcasts will uncover an ancient relic described by developers as “wielding an extraordinary power that threatens all of humanity.” It turns out that it exudes a type of dark magic that turns people and other creatures into zombies.
The second half of the trailer shows Scarlett and the outcasts suddenly landing in an ancient battle arena, which confirms there will be time travels in the “Call of Duty: Black Ops 4” Zombies Mode. Players can still use their big guns in this era but non-gun weapons are also present in the trailer. Players will also be exploring dungeons where tomahawk-wielding zombie warriors hide.
The trailer later reveals that the gameplay scenes featured cover two different “Call of Duty: Black Ops 4” Zombies maps, namely “Voyage of Despair” and “IX.” Based on earlier released teasers, the first part of the trailer is set in the “Voyage of Despair,” which features a zombie-infested Titanic. Meanwhile, the ancient era has also been previously shown in the “IX” cinematic trailer.
Treyarch and Activision will be releasing a third “Call of Duty: Black Ops 4” Zombies map called “Blood of the Dead.” All three maps will be launched along with the base game on Oct. 12 for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
