Canada's Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) announced C$2.34 million in non-repayable awards for four New Brunswick companies on Oct. 23, funding equipment and production upgrades framed as a response to tariffs.

Norwood Windows & Doors will use C$795,000 to broaden its aluminum-clad lineup in Scoudouc, adding production equipment and software and backing the expansion with marketing aimed at Canadian customers.

Allain Equipment Manufacturing Ltd. will receive C$700,000 for an automated storage system and laser-cutting equipment at its Notre-Dame site. ACOA says the changes are expected to support continuous production.

ACOA says the C$500,000 project at Imperial Manufacturing Group Inc.'s Richibucto plant will add machinery and automated workflows, including improvements to how materials move through the operation. ACOA expects the automated equipment funded by C$345,000 at Glenwood Kitchen Ltd.'s Shediac site to make production more efficient and improve product quality.

The four amounts add up to C$2.34 million. ACOA's announcement listed the individual awards as non-repayable funding.
