Canadian officials will hold a media briefing on Canada’s COP31 priorities and planned activities Nov. 2, a week before the U.N. climate summit opens in Antalya, Türkiye.

Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) said senior government officials will lead the bilingual technical session. It will cover Canada’s priorities, objectives, and planned activities for COP31; the department’s advisory did not detail those plans.

The conference is scheduled for Nov. 9-20.

The briefing is set for 11 a.m. EST Monday on Zoom. Media representatives are asked to contact ECCC’s Media Relations office to register; the department will provide joining details after registration.

The department said the briefing may be reported without attribution.
