Disqus, a blog commenting service, has integrated with San Francisco-based micropayments start-up ChangeTip. As a result, users will now be able to tip each other in bitcoin.
The bitcoin start-up, which received $3.5m in funding in December, makes use of an internal ledger to process tips off-chain, implying tips are transmitted almost instantly.
"Disqus is a service that can be integrated with other popular web services. So it's quite common for us to enable an integration like this. We'll watch how this one evolves and adjust for it accordingly", said Steve Roy, VP of marketing at Disqus.
The news about the integration comes amid an apparently busy period for ChangeTip. Just a few days back, the company also announced its collaboration with video streaming platform Twitch.tv, and the non-profit BitGive Foundation.
