LOS ANGELES, Sept. 08, 2017 -- Mariner Health Central, Inc. announced today that Christine Zack, its Executive Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer has been chosen by the American Health Care Association and the National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) as a future leader in long term and post-acute care. Ms. Zack was nominated by the California Association of Health Facilities and will join the AHCA/NCAL Future Leaders program, a year-long program that offers training and guidance for long term and post-acute care professionals.
Since 2004, AHCA/NCAL has hosted long term and post-acute care professionals in the Future Leaders program. Selected participants both demonstrate leadership potential and represent the interests of both state and national long-term care providers. The program covers the latest theories and practical applications in quality management, customer satisfaction, and leadership. The year-long program kicks off with a two-day symposium, “Future Leaders of Long Term Care in America,” held each year in Washington, D.C. This year’s symposium will take place September 13 - 15, 2017.
“AHCA/NCAL is dedicated to offering skilled nursing professionals who are dedicated to high quality care the opportunity to enhance their leadership skills,” said Mark Parkinson, President & CEO of AHCA/NCAL. “We look forward to seeing Christine Zack and the entire Future Leaders class apply these newly-acquired skills to improve the well-being of individuals within long term and post-acute care.”
As a member of the executive consulting team with fourteen years of industry experience, Ms. Zack is already viewed as a leader within her own organization. Mariner Health Central Executive Vice President of Operations, Dennis Sarcauga, said, “Christine is known as our person who gets things done. While her legal background makes her a natural at issue spotting, Christine excels at developing creative solutions to complex problems and in recognizing opportunities for strategic partnerships and business initiatives. However, it is Christine's tireless enthusiasm, optimism, and relationship building that sets her apart from other leaders. We are confident that Christine's participation in the Future Leaders Program will not only benefit Mariner Health Care, but the industry as a whole."
