Coastal Flow Measurement Announces ISO/IEC 17025 Accreditation

HOUSTON, June 14, 2017 -- The Coastal Flow Measurement family of companies today formally announced that their flow laboratory has achieved ISO/IEC 17025 Accreditation, the primary ISO standard for testing and calibration laboratories, under the latest standard jointly-published by ISO (International Organization for Standardization) and IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission).  This standard specifies the general requirements for the competence to carry out tests and/or calibrations, including sampling, performed using standard, non-standard, and laboratory-developed methods.

Accreditation to the ISO/IEC 17025 standard means that a laboratory is technically competent and able to produce precise and accurate test and calibration data.  Accreditation, a voluntary third-party review process, ensures that a laboratory’s quality management system is thoroughly evaluated on a regular basis for continued technical competence and full compliance with the ISO/IEC 17025 standard.  For Coastal Flow, this accreditation is further evidence of its commitment to world-class, technically-superior displacement prover calibration services.
