On Oct. 22, a contract account linked to blockchain address 0xbf732ea04197942783e34730ed6e0f6099575d58 added about $9.08 million in Zcash (ZEC) long exposure, with an average price of $1,252.95. The activity lasted one hour and 47 minutes, from 4:36 to 6:23 a.m. ET (08:36 to 10:23 UTC). A long position generally benefits from rising prices, giving the account greater exposure to potential gains if ZEC rises.
The account’s roughly $22.94 million cumulative-profit figure includes unrealized gains and losses.
EconoTimes previously reported that the same address was linked to a $5.6 million Zcash short on Oct. 19. That position involved 5,000 ZEC and was still open in a 10:36 a.m. ET (14:36 UTC) snapshot that day. The earlier report said it had been opened between 10:24 and 10:33 a.m. ET (14:24 to 14:33 UTC).
