CoreWeave, an AI cloud provider, recorded a 25% weekly share decline while credit-default swaps tied to the company rose above 1,000 basis points, sharpening focus on its financing needs.

Credit-default swaps track the price of protection against default, and levels above 1,000 basis points are associated with distressed credit. The share decline and swap level are separate indicators.

CoreWeave offers cloud computing for AI workloads. The company reported about $104 billion in revenue backlog as of June 30, 2026. A portion of that amount is conditional on services being delivered and capacity becoming available, as EconoTimes previously reported in its coverage of CoreWeave’s backlog.

Management says contracted work is sufficient to cover the company’s debt commitments. Investors are watching for developments in debt management, financing arrangements and customer commitments as markets assess the funding demands of AI cloud businesses.
