CNBC reported Jim Cramer, host of “Mad Money,” wants a stronger move before committing more money to technology stocks, where a different group may be emerging as leaders.
Broadcom and Micron advanced Tuesday, helping lift major market averages, CNBC reported. Nvidia, Microsoft, Alphabet and Meta had struggled to sustain gains in recent weeks, according to the outlet. “Tech’s trying to make a stand here,” Cramer said, while cautioning that one session was not enough to confirm a lasting turn.
He pointed to Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and Arista Networks, which posted strong quarterly results after Tuesday’s close, as companies that might help a sector rebound. Oracle shares rose nearly 6% during the session, CNBC reported.
Cramer said community disputes over electricity costs and water demand could disrupt data-center expansion. If projects are canceled or shifted, he said, smaller developers Iren, Nebius and CoreWeave may be more exposed. Amazon, by comparison, has more resources to seek other locations. Cramer has previously warned that political opposition could delay projects, as covered in an earlier EconoTimes report on technology volatility and data-center delays.
The Iran war was another risk in Cramer’s assessment. Oil prices moved lower Tuesday as hopes grew for possible progress in U.S.-Iran talks, CNBC reported. Cramer said markets had repeatedly underestimated the risk of further escalation, leaving the conflict a concern for stocks.
Cramer did not call the rebound a durable low for the sector. He said he wanted to see a “crescendo” in technology shares before directing much more money back into them.
