Fans will be getting a double dose of their favorite police procedural series as both “Criminal Minds” season 15 episodes 9 and 10 will be airing one after the other. Unfortunately, it would also be the last time fans will be seeing their favorite characters on the small screen as the two hour event will also be the series finale.
‘Criminal Minds’ season 15 episode 9
In episode 9 titled “Face Off,” the team will be up against Everett Lynch, also known “The Chameleon.” This time they will explore new theories eventually resulting in the team tracking the criminal and confronting him.
“’Face Off’ – It has been a year since Rossi nearly died at the hands of Everett Lynch, a.k.a. ‘The Chameleon,’ and he has developed some new theories, with inspiration from his former partner, Jason Gideon (Ben Savage),” the synopsis for the ninth episode reads. “The BAU team sets out on an epic hunt to capture Lynch, in the cliff-hanger to the series finale episode of CRIMINAL MINDS, Wednesday, Feb. 19 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.”
‘Criminal Minds’ season 15 episode 10
The tenth episode will be aptly titled “And in the End.” Unfortunately for Reid, he will suffer a brain injury, most likely from his encounter with Lynch. However, Rossi will make a discovery about “The Chameleon” that will deeply affect him.
As the last episode of the long-running series, the team is expected to eventually catch the criminal. The show will likely end with a party as everyone celebrates Rossi’s retirement from the force.
“’And in the End’ – Following an explosive face-to-face encounter with Everett Lynch, a.k.a. ‘The Chameleon,’ Dr. Reid suffers from a brain injury and, while experiencing hallucinations, is visited by ghosts from his past,” the synopsis for the tenth episode reads. “Also, the BAU makes a shocking discovery about Lynch that affects Rossi personally, and the entire BAU team comes together to celebrate Rossi’s retirement, on the series finale of CRIMINAL MINDS, Wednesday, Feb. 19 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Written by executive producer Erica Messer and series star Kirsten Vangsness.”
