The Crypto Fear & Greed Index rose Wednesday, but Alternative.me’s measure of broader cryptocurrency-market sentiment remained in fear territory at 34, leaving the category unchanged.

The daily value rose from 26 Tuesday, an eight-point gain, and matched the 34 recorded Nov. 1. Alternative.me continued to classify the score as fear, so the increase did not move the gauge into a new category.

A separate live reading stood at 37 at 7:37 p.m. ET Nov. 1 (00:37 UTC Nov. 2), while the daily figure for that date was 34, according to Alternative.me. EconoTimes covered the live number in an earlier update.

The index tracks sentiment across cryptocurrency markets. Its scale starts at 0, marked extreme fear, and goes to 100, marked extreme greed. Alternative.me’s methodology folds Bitcoin (BTC) volatility into trading momentum and volume, then considers search trends, market dominance and activity on social platforms. Alternative.me says its survey component is paused. The two Nov. 1 readings show that its live and daily figures can differ.
