Czech Republic’s industrial production grew on a year-on-year basis in November. The output expanded at constant prices by 7 percent, according to Czech Statistical Office, as compared with a decline of 1.7 percent year-on-year in the prior month. Adjusting for working days, industrial production rose 4.5 percent year-on-year. On a seasonally adjusted basis, industrial output rose 1.7 percent month-on-month. The value of new orders rose 10.7 percent on a year-on-year basis.
Production of motor vehicles, semi-trailers and trailers, gas, electricity, steam and air conditioning supply and production of rubber and plastic products contributed the most to the year-on-year rise of industrial production. Industrial production fell in manufacture of other transport equipment, mining and quarrying, and manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations.
Sales from industrial activity at current prices rose 7.8 percent year-on-year in November. Direct export sales of industrial enterprises rose at current prices by 8.6 percent. Domestic sales that include indirect export via non-industrial enterprises rose at current prices by 6.8 percent.
Meanwhile, the average registered number of employees in industrial enterprises with 50+ employees rose in November by 2.1 percent year-on-year. Their average gross monthly nominal wage rose 5.7 percent year-on-year in November, stated Czech Statistical Office.
