Dakota Johnson did some shopping in L.A. early this week and her outing sparked engagement rumors with her long-time boyfriend, Chris Martin, after paparazzi photos showed her wearing a massive emerald ring. Many are saying that the Coldplay frontman many have finally proposed and this could have taken place while in lockdown.
The alleged engagement of Dakota and Chris
Photos of Dakota Johnson are all over the internet and offline tabloids and they highlighted the ring on her finger. Page Six reported that as shown in the photos, the “Fifty Shades of Grey” star was wearing a ring with sparkling green stone. Paparazzi caught her shopping in West Hollywood and they took the snaps that convinced many Dakota and Chris have already taken their romance to the next level.
The 31-year-old was so simply dressed as she did her shopping. She was wearing a coat paired with joggers and she accessorized her looks with sunglasses and of course, the required face mask. Her hair was also tied in a bun so it can be said that the only glamorous thing about her at that time was the huge emerald ring on her finger that made people think she is already engaged.
Many are suggesting that the proposal was done before Christmas so they will have more occasion to celebrate before the year closes. This may also suggest that they are planning a 2021 wedding, perhaps immediately once the COVID-19 infection slows down.
Is the engagement real?
There is no confirmation yet if what Dakota Johnson was wearing is really an engagement ring given to her by Chris Martin. The Hollywood Life tried to give answers to the question if they are engaged or not but it failed to get comments when it contacted the actress and the singers’ respective reps.
Meanwhile, Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin broke up in June last year but they reconciled after a brief separation. Since then, it was said that the couple has gotten closer after resolving their issues. Chris’ ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow and their kids are also close to the 31-year-old actress star now and they have no objections in case the two would like to get married.
