Dakota Johnson, Jamie Dornan 2018: Actress Not Psychoanalyzed After ‘Suspiria’; Actor ‘Begged’ for Child-Friendly Movie Gig

Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan have clearly moved on to new movie projects. From Anastasia Steele, Johnson played the role of a promising dance student while the Christian Grey actor was signed for a child-friendly movie.

Johnson stars in a couple of films that premiered recently, which includes “Suspiria.” But the actress recently needed to clarify what she meant by needing to go to therapy after filming the supernatural-themed, horror flick.

While promoting “Suspiria,” Jamie Dornan’s “Fifty Shades” co-star clarified that she “was not psychoanalyzed” after filming as Susie Banon. In the movie, Johnson played the role of a dance protégée who later discovers that the dance school she is attending is operated by witches. “I find sometimes when I work on a project and — I don’t have any shame in this — I’m a very porous person and I absorb a lot of people’s feelings,” Dakota Johnson added.

Dornan’s pal reiterated that filming “Suspiria” did not lead into any serious mental and emotional distress. “When you’re working sometimes with dark subject matter, it can stay with you and then to talk to somebody really nice about it afterwards is a really nice way to move on from the project,” Johnson further explained (via ComicBook).

Speaking of moving on to new projects, Johnson’s former leading man also searched for different fictional roles. Dornan, who is currently expecting his baby no. 3 with Amelia Warner, revealed that he wanted to be included in a movie that his kids can also enjoy.

Unlike Dakota Johnson, Dornan found a job that allows him to be a character on the more fun and lighter side thanks to his “Trolls World Tour” gig. He joins the sequel animated film for 2020 along with other powerhouse additions including Kelly Clarkson, Chance the Rapper, Sam Rockwell, Flula Borg and more.

“I've played a lot of creepy characters so my kids can't watch anything I'd done so I basically begged Universal to give me a part,” Jamie Dornan said during an appearance at “The Graham Norton Show” (via CinemaBlend). “I loved it and it was an amazing experience, but doing voice over made me very uncomfortable.
