As one of the most prominent foreign TV programs on Netflix, fans have been awaiting details for the German series “Dark” Season 2 for quite some time. Recently, actor Oliver Masucci who plays Ulrich Nielsen told a fan that the series might be coming back on June of this year. What’s more, his cryptic post on social media has fans wondering if his character died in the second season.
As Business Times reports, a user on Reddit posted what appears to be a conversation between fans and the actor on Twitter after a declaration that could be taken several ways. The Tweet reads, “[G]ood old times, my last day of work, thank you all.” It would appear that Oliver Masucci had finished his part of the filming process for “Dark” Season 2 quite a while ago.
When he was asked by a fan when “Dark” Season 2 was coming back, he answered “about June 2019,” which caused quite a bit of buzz in the fandom. On that note, it’s worth pointing out that nothing official has been confirmed by the Netflix or any of the producers. As such, this can be taken as the actor possibly taking a shot at guessing the premiere date.
In the same thread, Oliver Masucci was also asked if his character Ulrich will die in “Dark” Season 2 thus the reason for why it was his “last day,” as his Tweet reads. The actor refused to give any specific details away, but he did mention that “shooting must be over sometime.” He even alluded to the difficulties of keeping up with 76 characters in one show.
For now, fans are free to assume that this particular post is right and that “Dark” Season 2 might be coming back in June. However, until an official announcement is released, the premiere period is still up in the air.
