The tree lighting kicks off a month-long celebration of the holidays in Delray Beach and is free to attend, with a nominal fee for some activities.

The towering 100ft tall tree lights up at 7:15pm in Old School Square Park, following a night of family fun and holiday cheer. Guests can enjoy visits with Santa himself, along with photos directly after the tree lighting. Activities include ice-skating, mini-golf and a carousel.
On December 7th, families are invited to hear the classic retelling of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas at Cason Cottage at the Delray Beach Historical Society.
The holiday festivities continue with Delray’s annual Holiday Boat Parade December 8th and the Holiday Parade December 9th, along Atlantic Avenue. On December 16th, visitors can enjoy Screen on the Green, as Woo Creative presents a free holiday themed movie night on a giant four-story screen at the Old School Square Pavilion. Attendees are encouraged to bring a toy to donate to the Milagro Center.
Families can also celebrate with Cookie Cruises with Santa, December 2nd, 9th, 16th 19th, 20th, and 21st along the Intracoastal Waterway. December 12th is the annual lighting of the Menorah at 6pm on the Old School Square grounds, and on December 30th, guests are invited to the annual Kwanzaa Celebration at the Spady Museum, from 2:30pm to 6pm.
