The global financial giant, ‘Mastercard’ announced three job openings to its website, seeking for directors and vice president in blockchain product management.
According to the job descriptions, the job posting reveals that the firm is looking for two directors for positions titled “product development & innovation – blockchain solutions architect” and “product management – cryptocurrency/wallets,” and one vice president for the role of product management of Blockchain/Crypto.
The development is intending for devising a blockchain wallet solution, that could potentially be the major counterpart for Facebook’s upcoming cryptocurrency project Calibra.
Mastercard is to lead efforts in cryptocurrency, concentrating on payments and wallets solutions, as per the company’s job board.
Furthermore, as per the job description, the new roles will “work with cross-functional departments comprising of Franchise, Compliance, Regulation, Products, Labs, Regions and Technology to develop new products and solutions.”
As per the Block, Mastercard has been the latest corporate candidate to take a deep dive in into the blockchain ocean “concentrating on payments and wallet solutions.”
