Domino’s Pizza Group plc said like-for-like sales growth in the UK and Ireland slowed to 2.3% in the third quarter, but it kept its full-year earnings outlook as new products supported demand.
Total system sales rose 3.5% in the quarter ended Sept. 30, while total orders increased 2.6%. Like-for-like orders grew 1.4%, down from 2.2% in the second quarter. Like-for-like sales growth slowed from 5.2% over the same comparison.
For the first nine months of 2026, like-for-like sales were up 4%. The latest quarter’s slower growth came after weaker orders in 2025, according to the Independent.
Domino’s reported further growth in August and September after an early-quarter lift from the World Cup. It also cited strong sales of Italianos, its range of thinner pizzas, and growth at its CHICK ‘N’ DIP chicken brand. The Independent reported that the chicken brand was introduced last year to appeal to younger consumers.
Domino’s said its performance remained in line with market expectations and maintained its full-year earnings guidance. CEO Nicola Frampton said there was “a lot of work still to be done,” while expressing confidence in the company’s annual outlook.
The company’s London-listed shares fell as much as 6% after the update, Reuters reported. Deutsche Bank Research analyst Richard Stuber said tougher comparisons with last year and a smaller World Cup boost than in the second quarter partly explained the slowdown, according to Reuters.
Looking to 2027, Domino’s said all major cost categories were fixed for 2026 and into 2027. It cited that cost visibility, together with its strategic growth initiatives, as the basis for its expectation of earnings growth next year.
