President Donald Trump is not only known for his very controversial remarks and rants on Twitter, but he is also known for having a visibly uneven complexion, so much so that it has become a character trait whenever someone tries to do an impression of him. Trump recently responded to a viral photo of himself that appeared to highlight how uneven the color on his face is.
Politicalflare reports that last week, a photo of the president went viral on social media. Taken by photographer William Moon, the photo showed Trump with his hair getting swept back by the wind at sunset. It naturally revealed the uneven complexion, seen from the visible line marking his naturally pale skin to the tan makeup that is often applied on him, Moon also shared on Twitter a black and white version of the same photo, which seems to highlight this contrast even more.
The photo became a meme everywhere, having gotten so viral it even reached the President. Trump then shared the link in a tweet, followed by his response. “More fake news. This was photoshopped, obviously, but the wind was strong and the hair looks good? Anything to demean!” tweeted Trump.
Although there were a few who suspected that the photos indeed were photoshopped, Moon continued posting more photos of the President on that same day. Some had also shared official press photos from other publications like Reuters - who do not allow altered or retouched photos, revealing the obvious lines of possibly unblended base makeup or tanning product. Many have described this as ironic considering Trump has a tendency to insult people on their appearance on a regular basis, especially women.
But it is not the only thing people on social media are mocking Trump for as of late. Trump recently tweeted a video clip of Larry David’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm” to which David wears a red MAGA cap to stop a potential clash with a biker. This scene was part of a storyline on the show where Larry wears a MAGA cap to avoid people he does not want to see.
David is not politically affiliated with Trump and has mentioned how the red MAGA cap was a good plot device. “It’s a great people repellant,” said David.
Trump captioned the clip with “Tough guys for Trump!” in all caps. This resulted in a wave of tweets mocking the President. “It’s a fictional tv show, doofus,” said political blogger Jeff Tiedrich.
