A new “Dragon Ball FighterZ” DLC character is slated to join the game later this week as the final fighter in the game's season pass.
Bandai Namco has confirmed that Android 17 has been added to the roster on Sept. 28 as a “Dragon Ball FighterZ” DLC character for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Of course, this isn’t Android 17’s first appearance in the game since he can be called to serve as an assist-like attack for Android 18. However, this is the first time he’s going to appear as a playable character. Android 17 will be
The new “Dragon Ball FighterZ” DLC character’s move set includes a large-scale energy attack called the Super Electric Strike that can be used both on the ground and in mid-air. Android 17 also has the ability to cover himself with a protective barrier, which can be useful in both offense and defense. He will be sporting his outfit from the “Dragon Ball Super” series.
Aside from Android 17, "Dragon Ball Z: Cooler's Revenge" titular antagonist Cooler will also be joining the game as a “Dragon Ball FighterZ” DLC character. Cooler will be the second movie villain to join the roster after Broly, and based on the trailer, he seems to have some abilities similar to his younger brother, Frieza. However, his bulky final form is more comparable to characters like Android 16.
Both Android 17 and Cooler are available either as a separate “Dragon Ball FighterZ” DLC on Sept. 27 or as part of the FighterZ Pass that unlocks all the fighters introduced in the game. Meanwhile, Bandai Namco has also announced that a new original stage called the Galactic Arena, and additional levels for the Ranked Match will be added to the game as part of a free update on Sept. 27. New 1v1 and 2vs2 gameplay options will be introduced as well soon.
