Toei Animation just released seven new visual character posters for “Dragon Ball Super: Broly” on the movie's website. The new visuals confirm and also tease about what fans can expect from the upcoming animation.
Fans will be excited to see Goku and Vegeta in their Blue Saiyan forms, which have been heavily featured in the movie's trailer. Broly also gets his own poster that shows off his ultimate Saiyan form color that everyone is speculating about.
One of the things fans will find interesting is the inclusion of a Golden Frieza, which was not shown in the movie's teaser trailer. Golden Frieza is the ultimate evolution of Frieza and has only appeared in film in “Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F.” Golden Frieza's inclusion in the cast just raised the power level of the movie for anticipating fans.
Aside from Golden Frieza, it looks like Piccolo will also be making an appearance on the show, sporting his own visual character poster. Whis and Beerus, as well as Bulma, Goten, and Trunks, each get their own group visual poster. It seems that even when the “Dragon Ball Super: Broly” trailer teases a potential Bardock sighting, Toei did not release a visual character poster for Goku's dad.
If fans will be basing the importance of characters to the story on the visual posters released by Toei, it looks like Piccolo and Golden Frieza have a bigger part to play than what is revealed in the teaser trailer. While a potential Bardock scene is still possible, it seems that the favorite Saiyan's father won't be making as big a splash on screen when the movie comes out.
Fans of the series can expect “Dragon Ball Super: Broly” to be released in Japan on Dec. 14. The movie will get its North American release in January 2019, to be handled by Funimation.
