VARA’s revised public register moves Bybit Fintech FZE’s Dubai exchange license date to Oct. 20, 2026, from June 20 cited in EconoTimes’ earlier report on the license listing.

Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) marks the entry active and lists Exchange Services as the permitted activity. It names institutional, qualified and retail investors as eligible customers and classifies the authorization as a full virtual asset service provider (VASP) license.

Bybit said the license covers spot trading in crypto assets. VARA’s entry does not separately identify derivatives as a permitted activity.

VARA treats in-principle approval as a preliminary step, with customer-facing operations allowed only once the regulator grants a full VASP license.
