Standard Fluids Corporation said Oct. 15 that EID Group Safety Solutions will become master distributor for its SF 1230 Fire Protection Fluid across Latin America and the Caribbean, expanding the product’s planned regional distribution.
The companies said they plan to support regional integrators and authorized distributors while developing certified refill and recharge facilities. The announcement identifies commercial and industrial markets, including energy, data centers and transportation, as areas of focus.
Standard Fluids describes SF 1230 as a clean agent with the designation FK-5-1-12. EID says it was founded in 2002, is headquartered in Miami and works with more than 200 commercial partners. It describes its role as helping international manufacturers enter the region through product supply and engineering support.
The announcement did not provide the arrangement’s value or duration, a start date, a list of countries covered or locations for the planned facilities.
