PORTLAND, Ore., March 01, 2017 -- Electro Scientific Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq:ESIO), an innovator in laser-based manufacturing solutions for the micro-machining industry, today announced that John Williams has joined the company as Vice President of Marketing, effective February 27.
Mr. Williams has over twenty years of experience in increasingly responsible roles within marketing management at several companies. In his most recent position John served as Vice President, Marketing for Thermo Fischer Scientific. He came to Thermo Fisher via its acquisition of FEI Company, where he had served for ten years, seven of which as Vice President, Corporate and Strategic Marketing. Prior to joining FEI, Mr. Williams spent five years as the Director of Marketing at Brooks Automation. Prior to Brooks, John was a Product Marketing Manager at several technology firms. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly - San Luis Obispo.
