Last month, a new “Elders Scrolls 4: Skyblivion” trailer has been released on the web and caused massive waves across the gaming community. In mere days, the video garnered millions of views on Youtube and sparked discussions across multiple online forums.
But while the old gamers are excited about “Elders Scrolls 4: Skyblivion,” the younger ones are simply confused what’s the ruckus is all about. So to start, one of the major reasons why this game is highly-anticipated is due to nostalgia.
The original title came about 13 years ago and was received with massive positivity by gamers, so much so that it was hailed as Game of the Year across multiple platforms. Online publications also gave it stellar ratings due to how Bethesda made the world so rich and vast. But as with any other game, there are still some criticisms to be thrown it's way. “Elders Scrolls 4: Skyblivion” means to address all of that and then some.
Elders Scrolls 4: Skyblivion’s improvements
Keeping everything that made the game successful and addressing its inadequacies, the team behind this project is making sure that the experience is going to be smoother this time around. For instance, “Elders Scrolls 4: Skyblivion” will correct multiple creatures’ spell casting, address the enemy’s level scaling, and tweak the NPC’s quests and schedules, Gamespot reported.
Aside from this, the team will also give it a fresh coat of paint to mirror today’s gaming standards. It wouldn’t be as beautiful as top triple-A titles out there today, but it’s a huge step from what’s been seen more than a decade ago. If that’s not enough, the developers are also adding new weapons and armors on “Elders Scrolls 4: Skyblivion” to add newer variants to what’s already been seen.
Elders Scrolls 4: Skyblivion will have one gigantic map
And as a massive kicker, the game will allow players to roam Cyrodiil, Morrowind, and Skyrim freely, which will be insane given that the Skyrim map alone is vast enough as it is. The bad news here is that “Elders Scrolls 4: Skyblivion” isn’t likely coming out this year.
It’s important to understand that this game is being made by a bunch of volunteers, so there’s no big studio backing up their efforts. What’s more, they’re also not getting paid for their work and is only doing this on pure passion alone. And no, they’re not accepting money either. The best we can hope is “Elders Scrolls 4: Skyblivion” will come out next year, although it wouldn’t be surprising if it gets pushed to 2021.
