“Elite” season 3 is a non-English drama that surprisingly drew millions of viewers. The teen drama did so much better than anticipated thus it was renewed long before the second season ended. There is no need to explain why the renewal came early since the show is obviously a big hit on Netflix.
The renewal announcement and filming details
Netflix confirmed “Elite” season 3 through a teaser but actress Ester Expósito beat the streaming provider and made the official announcement first. She plays Carla in the series and she made fans happy by sharing a clip where she revealed about the third installment.
It was in October when she disclosed that “Elite” season 3 is coming. Aside from this, she shared bonus information when she introduced two new actors who will join them in the show and they are Sergio Momo and Leiti Sene.
Furthermore, Ester Expósito said that they are done with filming too. This means “Elite” season 3 is arriving just months after the last installment aired which is good because fans can’t really wait long for the next chapter to unravel.
Storyline - what to expect
“Elite” season 3 will pick up from the second installment’s “0 Hours Missing” finale. As per its plot summary, this chapter “revealed that Samuel did not disappear but was hiding in Guzmán‘s grandparents’ house to trap Carla into confessing about Marina‘s murderer.”
Also, “Polo gets arrested. Guzmán breaks his friendship with Ander for hiding the fact about Polo while Ander and Omar reconcile. After two weeks, Polo reappears to everyone‘s surprise.”
Thus, “Elite” season 3 will show what will happen when Polo returns. He is a murderer but how come he was able to get out of the prison? The answer will be shown in the upcoming episodes.
Sadly, friendships and families will be broken due to the tensions brought about by Marina’s murder. Other students in Las Encinas may also be leaving to escape the guilt and bad feelings. For instance, Nano, who was initially accused of the murder will move away to avoid getting involved in the crime he was falsely accused of again
“Elite” season 3 may possibly drop in August 2020.
