Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are back in the news for alleged divorce. This time, the news cropped up after the pair sold their multi-million-dollar beach house in California.
The couple spent lots of memorable times in this vacation home by the beach so when it was put up for sale and got sold for $23 million, the rumors about DeGeneres and De Rossi have become stronger. The home was purchased by makeup mogul Jamie Kern and husband Paulo Lima through Compass broker Suzanne Perkins and Riskin Partners Group at Village Properties. According to CNBC, the original asking price was $24 million.
Ellen and Portia’s split rumors
Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi have been a favorite subject of divorce rumors for years. The reason given in the articles range from jealousy to fights over money to disagreements with regards to adopting and having no time for each other, but none of the news has been proven correct so far.
Once it was said that Portia wants Ellen to give up her long-running “Ellen Show” so they can spend more time together, the former model also wants her wife to stop hosting so she can explore other career paths because she still has lots of talents that she can use for other work. This was reported since late last year, and the couple is still together until now, proving that the story was fabricated.
Debunking the divorce rumor
Now, this newest divorce rumor was seemingly debunked by Ellen and Portia when they arrived together in London a few days ago. The Daily Mail reported that the pair landed in the U.K. with a grand helicopter ride. It was added that the reason for their visit on this side of the world is not clear, but there are reports that say they are visiting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi were photographed stepping out of a chopper at the Battersea helipad. The former was also seen holding her wife at some point, and there was no indication of a tense or troubled relationship. Truly, this only proved that the divorce story is false.
