ELKRIDGE, Md., March 11, 2016 -- The greater Baltimore area has a new home for classic American design. Ethan Allen has moved its Design Center in Catonsville, Md., to a location just a few minutes away—in Gateway Overlook, an upscale shopping center in neighboring Elkridge.
The 9,983-square-foot Design Center features an innovative display concept, which showcases the company’s new interactive design service. This is not just a new location—this is a new design experience.
Ethan Allen’s user-friendly Design Center layout brings its robust website to life. An open floor plan featuring design stations invites customers to work directly on projects with the company’s design professionals in a space outfitted with the latest technology.
The new Design Center opens its doors today and represents a new direction for the 83-year-old brand. "This is an Ethan Allen some people may not recognize," says the company’s Chairman, President and CEO Farooq Kathwari. "The products are relaxed and relevant to today's lifestyles, the technology on the floor is state-of-the-art, and the Design Center itself is located where our clients live and play."
The Design Center displays hundreds of all-new designs in “shops” and inspirational room settings. Five design professionals from Catonsville will staff the new space and can help as little or as much as a client likes to facilitate the creative process and take the guesswork out of design. In-store and in-home consultations are complimentary, as always.
"Our new Design Center will be an inspiring destination in a great location,” says Judy Alto, District Design Manager for Ethan Allen. “Our team of design professionals is excited to introduce our new shopping concept to our Baltimore-area clients.”
The new Design Center in Gateway Overlook is located at 8221 Gateway Overlook, Elkridge, Md. 21075. Hours are Sunday 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; and Wednesday and Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. For more information, please contact Judy Alto at [email protected].
