Ethereum’s validator entry queue and staking rewards offer separate indicators, while Bitwise reported record validator balances and lower third-quarter yields in its Oct. 20 report.
The figure tracks tokens in the activation pipeline; it does not establish how many depositors are represented or their reasons for staking.
Lido’s rate applies to its staking service, not all Ethereum staking, and is calculated using reward activity over a rolling seven-day period. It can change, and the service does not promise that the same rate will last for a full year.
Bitwise reported that active validators held a record 43.8 million ETH at the end of September, with net inflows of 1.99 million ETH during the third quarter. Its average gross annualized reward rate was 2.63% in the third quarter, down from 2.81% in the second quarter. The figures are from Bitwise’s Oct. 20 report, which EconoTimes covered in its account of Bitwise’s third-quarter staking data.
