Etihad Airways gave conflicting dates for Saudi routes as Lufthansa Group pushed back its Dubai return to Nov. 25, while Saudi Arabia's General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) reported Dammam airport had reopened.

GACA said two people — a Saudi citizen and an Indian resident — died in the Oct. 21 attack and eight others were injured. The agency said King Fahd International Airport had resumed activity and air traffic was moving normally.

Etihad's flight-status page gives Nov. 5 as the cancellation cutoff for Abu Dhabi-Dammam and Abu Dhabi-Riyadh flights, as well as Jeddah flights EY601, EY602, EY603 and EY604. A separate Oct. 22 notice gives a different cutoff for Riyadh service and says Dammam service is expected to resume on Nov. 6. It says daytime Jeddah service is scheduled, although some flights remain listed as canceled through Nov. 5 or 6.

Lufthansa Group now plans to restart Dubai flights on Nov. 25, with peak service of up to 28 flights per week. Its 2026/2027 winter plan drops planned Eurowings services from Cologne/Bonn and Stuttgart. SWISS also moved its planned Zurich-Dubai restart to Nov. 25.

Gulf News reported that Dubai arrivals on Oct. 23 were canceled from several cities, including Dammam, Riyadh, Abha, Jeddah, Tel Aviv and Damascus, while some European and Asian routes faced delays.

Philippine Airlines announced Manila-Dubai flights would resume Oct. 2. Gulf News later reported that service had restarted. Etihad attributed delays to Super Typhoon 29W (Champi) affecting Abu Dhabi-Taipei flight EY898, scheduled for Oct. 22, and return flight EY899 on Oct. 23; it provided no revised times.
