Top ex-employees of the leading companies are joining cryptocurrency businesses including start-ups. Several bitcoin companies are putting efforts to bring in prominent people from diverse background. Anthony Watson, former Chief Information Officer of Nike, is the latest addition to the bitcoin space. He will be joining BitReserve, a bitcoin start-up, as the President and the COO. He will be based in Los Angeles.
Watson says that his broader vision is much larger than cryptocurrencies. Although his decision to quit Nike has been much talked about lately, rumors suggest that he had a bit of culture shock moving from London.
He said that he may well have been happy working for another big company in another city, but this gives him the opportunity to live and work in various cities.
