YieldMax’s Short COIN Option Income Strategy ETF (FIAT) will pay $0.2600 per share, an 18% increase that raises the cash distribution to eligible investors in its next weekly payment.

The amount is $0.0397 above the $0.2203 distribution YieldMax announced Oct. 21. FIAT shares go ex-dividend Thursday, Oct. 29, which is also the record date; holders recorded then qualify for payment.

YieldMax’s preliminary tax estimate classifies 96.52% of the distribution as return of capital and 3.48% as income. The final tax classification is to be listed on Form 1099-DIV; returning capital can lower the fund’s net asset value and trading price.

FIAT’s distribution rate stood at 80.97% at the Oct. 27 close. The rate extrapolates the latest payout against the fund’s net asset value; it reflects one distribution, not overall performance, and does not assure future payments.

FIAT uses put spreads on Coinbase shares to seek weekly option premiums while maintaining short exposure. A rise in the stock could leave losses that exceed the premiums collected. Payment is scheduled for Oct. 30.
