FXStreet reported Friday that UOB strategists see USD/CHF potentially reaching 0.8220, a level that would mean each U.S. dollar buys fewer Swiss francs.

FXStreet attributed the view to Quek Ser Leang, UOB’s senior technical strategist and senior vice president, and Sue Ann Lee, an economist and first vice president. UOB’s research team page lists those names and titles.

The outlet said an earlier UOB 24-hour outlook called for USD/CHF to trade between 0.8265 and 0.8305, with the pair at 0.8285 in the early Asian session on Oct. 29. FXStreet later reported a drop to 0.8236, below the 0.8250 support level it cited. PoundSterlingLive’s daily history lists an Oct. 29 low of 0.8274.

For the next one to three weeks, FXStreet said UOB sees the pair within a 0.8190–0.8290 range. The reported outlook identifies 0.8255 as minor resistance and 0.8270 as resistance. These figures are forecasts that FXStreet attributed to UOB.

EconoTimes previously covered UOB’s dollar-franc resistance analysis. USD/CHF quotes the number of Swiss francs per U.S. dollar, so a lower reading reflects a stronger franc relative to the dollar.
