As one of the most highly anticipated titles that are nowhere close to being released, “Final Fantasy VII: Remake” has fans wondering if ever it is coming to the market. Based on the latest news that has been coming out, it would seem that 2019 is the year where the wishes of fans will be granted. This will be done through teasers released through the year and some comments made by the developers.
Recent reports have been hinting at bits and pieces about the development progress with regards to “Final Fantasy VII: Remake” being revealed throughout the year. It would appear that the folks working on the game are confident that presentations with regards to it will be coming out in small increments. This is great news, especially after so many years of information drought about the game.
On the matter of exactly what fans will be able to expect from these “Final Fantasy VII: Remake” presentations, there has yet to be official information brought out. On that note, there are rumblings about more gameplay footage released to whet the appetite of fans for more scenes of Cloud fighting. What’s more, there are also rumors about potential revelations of details with regards to the mechanics.
Based on everything that has been shown about the game, so far, it has been generally accepted that it will be an action RPG. However, there could be some significant changes in how the combat in “Final Fantasy VII: Remake” will be. There have even been reports of an online multiplayer component, though, no one has any idea as to what this will even entail.
For now, fans can take comfort in the words of “Final Fantasy VII: Remake” producer Yoshinori Kitase. He recently said that the development is going smoothly, so a 2021 release date might actually be possible.
