MELBOURNE, Fla., Sept. 15, 2017 -- First Choice Healthcare Solutions, Inc. (OTCQB:FCHS) (“FCHS,” “First Choice” or the “Company”), one of the nation’s only non-physician-owned, publicly traded healthcare services companies focused on the delivery of total musculoskeletal solutions with an emphasis on Orthopaedics and Spine care, today announced today that the company experienced no structural damage to its seven facilities located through Brevard County, Florida as a result of Hurricane Irma’s Florida landfall.
President and CEO, Chris Romandetti commented, “Kris Jones, our VP of Medical Operations and her team are to be commended for the execution of the well-organized plan to protect staff, our patients and our assets both before and after Irma made landfall. While First Choice business operations have resumed, many elective surgical cases are being rescheduled due to lack of available recovery beds at local hospitals given overcrowding associated with the storm. We are doing everything possible to facilitate a return to normalcy and expect our surgical caseload to resume early next week."
Kris Jones, VP of Medical Operations added, “While we remained without power at our main location, once it was evident staff were safe and able to return to work, we were able to quickly assess our operational status and react in a way that allowed us to continue providing critical services to as many First Choice patients as possible. I am extremely proud of our team for providing the community with a high standard of care, even under the most difficult circumstances.”
Special thanks go out to all of our employees, our management team, their families, our patients and our service men and women who have put forth a tireless effort this week for the best interest of others by going above and beyond the call of duty.
Our hearts go out to all those affected by the devastation caused by Hurricane Irma and we are committed to providing support to our employees who sustained irreparable damage during this storm.
